Broadcast Engineering Assistant

The Full-Time Engineering Assistant will have involvement in all aspects of supporting a broadcast facility including set up, operation, and maintenance of a wide variety of broadcast and production equipment. We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, team player that thrives under pressure and is prepared to do what it takes to get the job done. Applicant should have a reasonable understanding of or experience in contemporary electronics, solid troubleshooting skills and capable of lifting 50 lbs. WGAN Brand Manager / Operations

We have an opening to lead our top News/talk Radio WGAN and its sister brands in beautiful Portland, Me.  Successful candidates will exhibit an ability to lead a 5 person news department, develop and coach local talent, direct programming, develop and curate a contemporary sound for the entire station in delivery and production.  The candidate will also be responsible for aspects of the entire broadcast operation including hiring and overseeing the 24/7 Operator on Duty staff.

Live broadcasts, concerts, festivals, community events, etc. We are looking for people who are outgoing and friendly, and love engaging with others. Street Team Members represent our stations when we are out and about, so you must like to interact with the public. You also should be able to manage a flexible schedule. This is a paid part time job with hours ranging from three to eight per week. PART TIME RADIO NEWS REPORTER/ANCHOR

The Portland Radio Group, located in South Portland, Maine, part of Saga Communications, has an immediate part-time opening for a News Reporter/Anchor at WGAN-AM. If you have a passion for news, then we should talk.

Responsibilities include:

  • Anchoring news casts
  • Updating WGAN’s website and social media platforms
  • Swing duty anchoring news and traffic reports on WGAN and its sister stations

Your responsibilities can include assisting promotions, monitoring broadcasts, and learning to produce commercials. This position will require working weekends and special events.
