PRODUCER, PART TIME

Portland Radio Group, part of Saga Communications, has an immediate part-time opening for a Producer.  Responsibilities include call screening, guest booking, producing show imaging elements, updating our website, posting content to social media, and running the board for WGAN’s live programs, including the WGAN Morning News, as well as sports programming on our sister stations WBAE and WZAN.  We’re looking for someone with ambition and passion. Knowledge of  MediaTouch, Burli, Adobe Audition, ProTools, and other digital audio production systems will be helpful.

PROGRAMMING, PART TIME

The Portland Radio Group has an immediate opening for a part time entry level position in the programming department.  We are looking for an individual who wants to be in broadcasting.  Your responsibilities can include assisting promotions, monitoring broadcasts, and learning to produce commercials.  This position will require working weekends and special events.  Some weeknights and late night availability will be necessary. NEWS ANCHOR, PART TIME

Is there still a radio station that covers local news and has an anchored newscast twice an hour?  Yes! Portland Radio Group, located in Portland, Maine, part of Saga Communications, has an immediate opening for a part time News Reporter/Anchor at WGAN-AM.  If you have a passion for news, then we should talk.  Responsibilities include:

  • Anchoring  news casts
  • Updating WGAN’s website and social media platforms
  • Swing duty anchoring news and traffic reports on WGAN and its sister stations
